At Brown University, I took numerous courses in the social sciences (Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Anthropology, Psychology). I then decided to major in Economics. I also took numerous courses that focused on international development, and designed my own course called “Tools for Development.”

During high school, I taught basketball to children at an orphanage once a week for a year. I also volunteered as a research assistant at a Non-Profit Organization that studies sea turtle nesting habits.

During my time at Brown, I gave local high schoolers SAT prep classes. After graduating, I taught an SAT course at a summer academy in South Korea. During both of these experiences, I also advised students on their college applications.
