AREAS OF EXPERTISE IN COLLEGE

I studied Environmental Engineering and Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame as part of a five-year dual degree program, which allowed me to receive a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science concurrently. I focused my undergraduate research on education equity and access to college, and also conducted engineering research on public water quality.

As an undergraduate student, I mentored high school students in the local community through the college application process. After graduation, I worked as a full-time college admissions counselor for one year before I started graduate school in education policy. I hope to continue my research and studies with a focus on making college more accessible to a broad range of students worldwide.

UNIQUE HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCES

In high school, I was focused largely on being involved in activities that were both challenging and enjoyable. I found it very important to be well-rounded, so I made sure to stay active in music, athletics, and academics. I also volunteered regularly in my hometown and chose community engagement as the topic of my primary college admissions essay.
