AREAS OF EXPERTISE IN COLLEGE
At Stanford University, I received three degrees during my undergraduate years. I received a BA in African and African American Studies, a BA in History with a concentration in History, Literature, and the Arts, and an MA in Sociology.
Much of my work is related to the humanities and social sciences, which I used to then apply for and be accepted into the PhD program in History at Harvard University, where I then received my MA in History. I am now researching American history with an emphasis on California, the West, and the South, and intend to work in either public history or academic research.

In addition to helping students apply to undergraduate universities through the local library, while at Harvard, Kalyn has worked as a History Department advisor helping students apply to Internship and Graduate Programs.

During high school, I worked in Student Government, volunteer tutored at my local library and helped with summer reading programs, and participated in many school-organized service-oriented activities.
