AREAS OF EXPERTISE IN COLLEGE

​I plan on working in education and policy due to my focus in organizational behavior. I have taught at Harvard in the course "Dilemmas of Equity and Excellence in K-12 Education" and I work as a consultant for District Management Council in Boston implementing tech solutions for school districts across the country. I will attain a doctoral degree in the not too distant future in public/education policy. After receiving my doctorate, I’m not completely sure what I want to do, but I would like to hold an administrative position in an educational institution.

UNIQUE HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCES

I worked with the superintendent of my district to create a plan to increase and retain minority student participation in advance placement classes as part of the district's long term goals. This was very rewarding, as I understood the problems that these students faced and was able to solve the problem myself and see its results. I also helped establish a model for better allocating counseling services to aid high-need students.
